What might the feminist future look like? Tanzfabrik will be presenting two works in one weekend as part of the Feminist Futures Weekend: In her solo Ein Tanz für Valeska Gert (A Dance for Valeska Gert), dancer, choreographer and actress Fernanda Silva explores the legacy of the dance avant-gardist and attempts to discover a dance-based approach to the life and work of Valeska Gert and establish links to German cultural history. In his new solo Warp Renderings, choreographer Sergiu Matis probes how aestheticized images of landscapes have altered our conception of nature, spanning an arc from the tradition of European landscape painting to satellite images and virtual reality.
